Building Boys into Men Through Outdoor Adventure and Christian Values.
What is Trail Life USA?
What We Stand For:
Our Mission:
Our Mission is to guide generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.
Our Vision:
Our vision is to be the premier national character development organization for young men which produces godly and responsible husbands, fathers, and citizens.
Trail Life Motto:
“Walk Worthy”
Colossians 1:10 “… that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;…”
The Trailman Oath:
On my honor,
I will do my best
To serve God and my country;
To respect authority;
To be a good steward of creation;
And to treat others as I want to be treated
Meetings:
Troop meetings are held on the first, second, and third Mondays of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at Concord Community Church, located at 610 Concord Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Meetings typically begin with a color guard presentation followed by announcements. The remainder of the meeting is dedicated to age-appropriate activities for Woodlands, Navigators, and Adventurers. Older boys often take on leadership roles, mentoring younger members while engaging in a variety of survival, citizenship, and exploratory activities.
Activities:
Beyond weekly meetings, the troop engages in a variety of activities throughout the year. From thrilling campouts to meaningful community service projects, there's always something exciting to look forward to. Our troop also participates in competitive challenges against other Trail Life troops, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and teamwork. Each year brings new and exciting opportunities for adventure, growth, and camaraderie.
Safety:
Safety is a paramount concern for our troop. All adult leaders undergo rigorous background checks and complete comprehensive child safety training. Trail Life USA has established robust safety protocols, including the "1,2,3 Youth Protection Essentials," which mandate strict supervision ratios and prohibit one-on-one interactions between adults and youth. Additionally, the troop adheres to detailed activity risk guidelines and maintains easy access to essential health and safety information. These measures ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for all participants.
